Vičiūnai Group Expands Into Canada: Continuing Its Growth in North America
On July 14, 2025, Vičiūnai Group officially established a new company in Canada – VG Trading Canada Inc. This marks another consistent step in implementing the Group’s international expansion strategy and strengthening its position in the North American market, where earlier this year a company was also established in the United States.
The new Canadian entity will operate as a commercial representative office, aiming to respond more effectively to the needs of the local market, strengthen the visibility of the Viči brand, and expand activities in the retail and HoReCa (hotel, restaurant, catering) sectors.
Canada is considered a strategically important market with high growth potential, and the establishment of this new representation will enable the company to better understand consumer needs, react more quickly to market changes, and offer innovative, sustainable, high-quality products that meet modern consumer expectations.
The company will be led by long-time Vičiūnai Group team member and current head of Vičiūnai Serbia, Andrius Klimaitis. He has accumulated more than a decade of experience working with the U.S. and Canadian markets—from export management to strategic partnership development. His deep market understanding, expertise, and network will be key to ensuring a successful launch and further growth of the new company.
“The new company will allow us to operate more locally—solve logistics challenges faster and more flexibly, ensure product availability, and build long-term partnerships in this competitive region. We are currently developing a targeted product portfolio, creating new products, forming a team, and actively engaging with existing and potential partners,” says A. Klimaitis.
The Viči brand is already recognized in the North American market—the company participated this year in the prestigious SIAL Canada exhibition in Toronto, considered one of the most important food industry platforms in the region. With the establishment of the new Canadian company, Vičiūnai Group plans to continue active participation in key industry events, including the SIAL exhibition in Montreal in 2026.
The creation of the new company is another milestone in implementing Vičiūnai Group’s international growth vision—being closer to its consumers, creating value for partners, and contributing to the future of a responsible, global food industry.
